What can you gain?

The porker is sold in an average weight of 120 kilograms. During the growth phase from 30 kilograms to 120, he should eat feed within 280 kilograms. As mentioned above, the metabolism of animals during illness is completely different. It then focuses on the basic function - survival, which is why with the disease the weight increase of the animal relative to the feed consumed decreases. How big are these losses? To illustrate this, we need to look at the following table:
As can be seen in the table above, 0.1 FCR corresponds to approximately PLN 8. Therefore, assuming that if we have an average FCR in our pigsty of 2.7, we spend about 193 zlotys on feed. By eliminating the threat of not detecting the disease, we are able to reduce the FCR by as much as 0.3, which is about a greater profit on each animal by PLN 24. An additional element is the reduction in mortality, which is about 1-2%. Mortality occurs at various stages of animal husbandry, hence it is difficult to make an accurate estimation of losses, but assuming the most favorable account, in which the animal falls immediately after transporting, then the loss is calculated from the cost of buying one animal. Let's assume that an imported piglet costs PLN 300 per head, a loss of 2-3% is about PLN 7.5. So, all over the herd, given even such a low mortality, there is always a loss. By eliminating it, we can save around 3-4 zlotys by means of constant animal monitoring. To sum up the above, the breeder using the ThermoEye system is able to generate a greater profit of up to PLN 28 on each piglet
